The Funeral March poster
The Funeral March letterpress poster ltd edition
A limited edition letterpress poster in memory of John Marjoram, Britain’s first Green Councillor and Mayor, which I wrote after joining the procession from his funeral, through Stroud to the graveside.
John was an important part of my understanding of Stroud; a notable political figure, a kind and fiercely compassionate man and great fun to have a gentle argument with about politics. He was the epitome of acting locally and thinking globally and he will be much missed.
You can read more about the genesis of the poem on the Stroud Times website (they first published the poem), but this is a limited edition A4 letterpress poster of the poem in green ink on eco-friendly card. All profits from the sale of the poster will go to Stroud Valleys Project, but I am selling 25 copies personally to cover the printing costs of making the poster.
If you’re in Stroud, please go to the Stroud Valleys Project shop and pick up a copy for £10, but if you’d like a copy sent further afield it’s £13 including p&p from me, which you can order by following this link.
There are, as I type this, 22 copies left that I am selling to cover costs. The rest of the run of 150 are available from SVP.
